Tell me what kind of music you listen to and I’ll tell you who you are.
These are the results of the last study by Adrian North, professor at Heriot-Watt University in Scotland. In fact, a group of researchers has deeply analyzed the relationship between musical preferences and personality and found odd connections; so we find out that classic and jazz music fans are creative people; pop music lovers are such hard-workers and that metal music listeners are not only polite and inventive people but they also are at peace with themselves. Here is another standard to schedule the various personalities. We all know that these models are almost touching social determinism; for example, is really common the stereotype wanting rock (or rap) music fans to be indomitable rebels and the opera ones rich, educated and well-mannered. But now, sound to the trumpets, here are some other results: country music listeners are quiet and diligent while rappers are outgoing and indies are very kind people, besides having no self-esteem. On the contrary, jazz and classic music lovers are really self-esteemed, though the former are more outgoing than the latter.
North is still going on in his research, and is looking for volunteers. Anybody interested in the matter, can visit the website http://www.peopleintomusic.com/ and find out more details.
Always keep in mind that drugo Alex loved Beethoven.
