Cesi-Marciano no.1

One of the most important piano books for beginners, alongside the Beyer, is the Cesi-Marciano (vol.I). While studying the Beyer you learn the technique, with the Cesi-Marciano you learn all the other essential capabilities, such as interpretation.

Every Tuesday will be dedicated to a new exercise from the Cesi Marciano. I hope that will be helpful…!

Theme and variation M. Clementi

This piece is very simple, there isn’t much to say, the right hand plays on 5 notes for the whole piece, and in the second part of the piece you just move your hand a note below to find the correct fingering.
The left hand accompanies with quarter notes.

Phrasing

Phrasing is a very important part of a piece, but in this case, there aren’t specific phrases. The left hand plays always legato notes, while the right has to disengage after each phrase.

The third system starts the variation of the theme, where the left hand “ties” the quarter notes through eighth.

Dynamic

The piece is to be played all in mf.

Exercises 58 -59 Beyer op.101 Lesson N°36

esercizio 58 59 beyer

You will surely have noticed that the bass clef there has become more familiar, a little more time and so have certainly benefited. Well, now you will add to your baggage certain concepts and actions that we neglected: the dynamic.

To increase the pathos and emotions in all the pieces that we know, we have the variations in the intensity noise: the plan to strong, the strong floor etc… on the basis of the emotions that we want to raise with a song. A romantic melody will for example sweet and played with delicacy, probably running a strong and decisive.

The Beyer introduces us to this point of the symbols that guide the student in dynamic, ( <) indicates a crescendo, ( >) a decreasing. When we meet a growing sound intensity will gradually grow, while with a dimuendo declines.

The exercise 58 presents no particular new difficulties with the exception of dimuendo is growing.

Exercise 59

Time: Allegretto in 3/8 (see e.g. previous).

Position: varies between treble clef and bass clef (to the left) and moves to the right in 5 notes of the treble clef (do-sol).

It introduces with this exercise emphasis vibrato: and a > symbol which indicates where to focus, which note to highlight. It will therefore be the beat note on which fall more emphasis marked and net.

He’s a pirate – Pirates of the Caribbean sheet music

// November 10th, 2011 // No Comments » // hard pieces, medium difficulty pieces

I admit that is a series of films that I do not like, like all the films that have great effect on the audience: Harry Potter, Twilight, etc. .. I’m someone who loves to go against the tide :) .

However, every time I heard the music of Pirates of the Caribbean… I remained impressed. “He’s a pirate” may be is the more impressive that I heard since many times.

The music that we are going to download is the one that starts at one minute and 13 seconds. I found a lot of interpreters that can play it very well… like this one…

He’s a talent. Big talent! now… I can’t tell you to play it like hime, because pianists don’t have these sounds, but we can go nearly there.
Here you can download the sheet music.

Difficulties there are many doble nots that could be a problem for the right hand, and there are many difficulties by time and rithm. Obviously one time learn the mechanism all will be more easy.
